Ahhhh, remember the '50's??? (Fewer and fewer of us do these days) Here is a little '50's china (literally) ornament that used to sit on our end tables in the living room. My sisters almost sold it at a garage sale - luckily no one liked it as much as I did. It still adorns my house today and brings back memories of a simpler time.

For anyone who has seen my sunflower growing in the planter on my deck, it finally is beginning to bloom. This is thanks to my next door neighbour the ornithologist, who feeds his birds sunflower seeds all winter. I had a number of them sprout in my yard this year.
