Apartment for sale in Edmonton. Close to downtown, easy access to University of Alberta and Grant McEwan College, two bedrooms, 2 full baths... and and and ... this is what I have been doing here and hopefully the fruits of my labour will soon pay off. Funny, I really like this apartment and will be a bit sorry when it sells, but I do want to sell it so it will soon be advertised on MLS. If you want to purchase it, let me know!

Kinsman Centre
Drove down the hill to the Kinsman's Sports Facility (don't know the exact name) to watch Dawson practice his ball. Usually it takes me a bit more than 10 minutes to make the drive. Last night, during rush hour, it took ONE HOUR!! Guess all the traffic driving over a two lane bridge creates a bottle-neck at that time of day.
The practice was INSIDE which surprised me, but when I saw them I thought it was a wonderful idea. The balls are hit and thrown against thick curtains, so they don't go very far and one can hit or pitch a lot of balls in a little time.
I did see Dawson practice batting and pitching, even though I was one half hour late.
His dad is assistant coach. Here are the two of them after practice.
Then went home and although I don't follow hockey, did flick on the TV and the games were on so watched Montreal v Boston. We all know how that turned out.

Edmonton
My morning spot - Second Cup. Not only do I like their coffee, but the internet works wonderfully and I can sit and sip and check my mail etc. The weather here is wonderful, very warm sunny spring days with crisp evenings. Perfect.
It didn't matter where SR lived when he was in Edmonton, he always saw the Molson's clock. Unfortunately, although I can see it from where I live, it is no longer lighting up the sky with the time. The building itself is in major disrepair. Does that mean Molson's beer is not doing so well? I don't know.
And no trip to Edmonton would be complete without a stop at my favourite shop - dots. I have that planned for later this week and will see what kind of bargains I can find.
Apartment cleaning/organizing is almost complete. I worked very very hard for a couple of days and am now reaping the rewards of my work.
Must check my emails now while I still have access to the web ...

Easter Sunday
It's Easter Sunday and here I sit in my fave coffee spot - Second Cup, sipping my java and taking advantage of their WiFi. Celebrated my b'day yesterday with Jenn, Brent & Dawson in the midst of my messy messy apartment. Missed my real b'day with a migraine but better late than never and they did bring my favourite food - birthday cake.
Had a busy day in organizing the apartment for sale. Now have the kitchen, living room and dining room ready for show. Just the bedrooms and bathrooms to go. When I finish, I do plan to shop a bit as I missed my specially planned shopping day - April 22nd.
I am excited to get home as well as I will have a couple of gifts awaiting me -- I am very anxious to see (and play with) them. But you know what they say about patience.
Happy Easter to all! Hope the Easter Bunny found you.

It's That Weekend Again
Another year has passed and the the Whitehorse Rapids Old Timers International Soccer Tournament (I believe I got that name right!!) was this weekend. Once again, I was asked if I would take some pictures and I did.
Luckily Juneau made it this year for two reasons. One, we like the team to participate and Two, they make it "international". When they arrived at the ferry dock on Friday morning, they found the ferry was cancelled. That put a wrench in the works. They finally chartered two small planes to fly them to Skagway, where they rented a van to Whitehorse. We are so glad they made it. All in all there were six teams including one co-ed team. Some very good soccer was played.

Hands Free
I always wondered why they haven't made a hands-free faucet, especially for the kitchen. When I saw this commercial I had to have one, so now I do. I LOVE IT!!!!

A New Post
Just had a complaint that the same photo is showing every time they pull up my blog. I know. I have been busy and unable to update and, as well, it is a slow time of year. So you won't have to view the same photo over and over, I will share with you the following, submitted to me by my 'ol bud MJT. It is fascinating and well worth a watch.
