Thursday Dinner

The bride and groom have been very busy all week.  Guests on both sides of the families have been continually arriving and their house is abuzz all the time.  Thursday night was Grandparents' Dinner night.  Mom and Brooke's Grandmother and Father were the guest of honour.  The house emptied out and they ended up having a famously successful time.

My Drive Home

The first stop from the airport was my house to drop off mom.  We were all pleased to see SR and Brooke were already there awaiting our arrival.  The family was happy to see them and after a wee chat I drove with the remainder of the crew to their new temporary home in Riverdale.

I left to return to my home at 11:30 pm and took some photos along the way.  I am not usually up at 11:30 pm, and was taken by the beauty of the sky - so startling beautiful - and I kept flicking photos.

Here is the SS Klondike at 11:30 PM with rain clouds reflecting the setting sun.

The rain clouds followed me home and it did blow and rain for about 10 minutes after my arrival.  I hope all of our visitors enjoy the amount of daylight we receive at this time of year.

Brooke's family began arriving late last week and continued all this week.  Now it's my family's turn, the first group of which arrived at 21:18 last night.  They will continue to arrive tomorrow and Friday. The Big day is getting very close.

One Week to Go!

One week to go.  I spent the afternoon helping clean up the cabin and surrounding area.  We walked out to Unicorn Hill, where the nuptials will take place.  Brooke will look a bit different than she does in the photo above.  Fingers are crossed for the weather to be as perfect as it was today.

Back at the cabin things were really getting into shape.  They are both working really hard and I do believe that things will be ship shape by the time next Saturday rolls around.
