Was at the airport today and saw Prime Minister Harper's plane parked beside the runway, but don't know where the PM is. Good day to visit the capital of the Yukon. No one is in Whitehorse today as it is the Discovery Day Holiday - and everyone ... I mean everyone (except me) is out of town enjoying the last long weekend of the summer. Although I did see our Premier lunching in the Klondike Rib and Salmon. Hope he remembered the PM's visit although he was still chowing down when I left.

He was touring the Minto Mine. While in Minto, Harper witnessed the signing of amendments to a resource sharing agreement that would ensure a greater portion of revenues generated from mining and resource projects remains in the Yukon. mjt
