The Tree of Life
IMDb gives it 7.5 out of 10. We had to come home and look it up on the internet to find out what the story was about! For portions of the movie it would have helped it we had perhaps dropped acid or at least smoked a joint! The formation of the universe was colourful and long. I thought I was watching the Discovery channel. Way too long at 2.25 hours! Once I sort of understood the movie (once I was home) I would give it a 6 out of 10. If you go to see it, read Wikipedia before you go!
The Help
Who hasn't read the book yet? The movie - a long time coming to Whitehorse!!!! - was quite true to the book. They did leave out some parts of the book, but 2.25 hours is long enough to sit in the cinema in the Yukon, thank you. I think it will be a classic movie, excellent acting and of course a story that pulls at your heart strings. I give it an 8 out of 10.

Funny- I told everyone about the book - Help. Now you have read it, scene the movie and myself, I have done neither. I guess I will reserve it at the library after this review. j.
Maybe you should check out Brad's new movie - Moneyball. (Baseball movie.) It is getting really good reviews. Starts Friday. j.
