Vote for Frank

As many of you know, cousin Frank is running for a seat in our territorial election, to take place on October 11 this year. (Does that date sound familiar - think SR!) Was driving home from my old house yesterday and ran across his signs for the first time.

Thinking of our Trip

I was just rearranging the photos of our Alaska trip and thought I'd share these 2 with you. We left Beaver Creek early in the morning and drove through fog as the sun was trying to poke through. It was eerily beautiful.
A bit later, we saw the first snow of the year on the top of the mountains. As beautiful as it looks, you know that soon that white stuff will make its way down to our level. But nice to look at all the same.

Contagion

With all the super-stars in this movie, how could I miss it! Matt Damon - Gwyneth Paltrow - Marion Cotillard - Jude Law - Kate Winslet - Laurence Fishburne (The Help STILL isn't here, Kristin!!!) Well, I kind of suspected the premise of the story and of course was pretty right on. If you think of the SARS epidemic that happened not too long ago, this is the story, although it is not SARS (but they do refer to it in the movie). Luckily, was only about 1-1/2 hours long - which was plenty long enough. A bit of a sleeper if you ask me although IMDb gives it 7/10 stars. Worth seeing?? I would wait for the DVD to come out.
